Blue Jays v. Yankees  -  September 8, 2021 at 7 p.m.

This fifth annual Yankees game gathering was co-presented with the TICL section of NYSBA.  In DANY's first in-person event during the COVID-19 pandemic, we came together to see Toronto Blue Jays v. New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium!  Seating was in Section 226, similar quality to past years, with special pricing of just $60 per seat.  This opportunity was offered to both members and guests of the presenting bar associations -  attorneys were welcomed to come with clients, family and friends.  Participating sponsors included iMedView, Compass Investigators & Adjusters, and JS Held.   Tickets in electronic format were provided by e-mail.  We hope to see you all again soon!

This course started with a discussion about specific mental health issues that lawyers confront, and resources that can be accessed by and for struggling attorneys.  The presentation then focused on ethical issues which arise from mental health and substance abuse difficulties of legal professionals.  The CLE finished with a presentation by an attorney who recounted his bout with depression and how he has addressed the situation.

This course discussed the changes to the Uniform Rules, effective February 1, 2021, as per Administrative Order 270/20.  These rule additions and amendments pertain to court appearances, communications with the court, filing of papers, discovery, interrogatories, privilege logs, depositions, TROs, orders to show cause, motions, and oral argument, as well as trial and pretrial practice.  This was quite informative for both experienced and newly admitted attorneys.  DANY thanks Mr. Horowitz and the event sponsor, J.S. Annual Yankees Game and CLE  -   July 15, 2019 (evening)


Thank you for having participated in this fourth annual event:  Tampa Bay Rays v. New York Yankees at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium, which was preceded by a one hour CLE at 5:15 p.m. at Supreme Court, Bronx County.  The CLE was an update concerning the Labor Law (e.g. 240 and 241(6)), and food and beverage was provided.  Stadium seats were in Sections 214A and 214B, similar quality to those of past years.  Attorneys had the option of buying extra game tickets at a reduced price to share with clients, family and friends who were not attending the CLE.  DANY thanks its members and sponsors for their support!
